Austrian painter and illustrator and co-founder of the Vienna Sezession, a group of modernist artists who gave rise to the Secession Movement, the Viennese version of Art Nouveau.   Sexuality, e r o t i cism, regeneration, love and death are governing themes of his work.    Well know examples are Danae (1907), Adele Bloch-Bauer (1907), The Kiss (1912) and Die Jungfrau (1913)
