Among the most popular costumes to create for Halloween or for other costume parties, is the sumo wrestler costume. This is a simple costume to make, though, the ones that you purchase have cool features that you cannot create at home, like the inflatable version.
You should start by finding the proper shape for your costume. The easiest method to do this is using a fat suit. Though, fat suits are rather expensive. Another option is to stuff a leotard with cotton, but then you may look lumpy. A final option is to build a structure to shape the costume in the proper shape.
Next you have to think about which type of shoes you'll be wearing. Traditionally, wrestlers compete with no shoes. You probably do not want to go out in bare feet. You can get nude colored shoes, or flip flops. Sumo wrestlers wear wooden sandals when going out and outside, you could locate similar ones at the shop.
Next, you'll need to begin thinking about how you'll wear your hair. Many sumo wrestlers have long black hair and do it in a ponytail or else a high bun. If you do not have a lot of hair, then simply find a black wig. If you do have long, dark, hair, just wear it in a low ponytail or a high bun.
